Sardines on toast with tomatoes

• Sardines in tomato sauce (120g tin)4
• Sliced wholemeal loaf1
• Salad tomatoes (6 pack)4
• Lemons (4 pack)1
• Cucumber1

Plus salt and pepper. About £4.53 for the amounts used.

Method

1. 1

   Toast 8 slices of bread from the loaf.

   Warm 4 tins of sardines in tomato sauce in a small pan, breaking them up lightly.

3. 3

   Spoon onto the toast, add a squeeze of lemon and plenty of black pepper.

4. 4

   Serve with 4 sliced tomatoes and sliced cucumber.
