Tuna pasta bake

• Tinned tuna chunks (145g tin)2
• Penne / fusilli400g
• Frozen sweetcorn200g
• Semi-skimmed milk500ml
• Plain flour40g
• Butter40g
• Mature cheddar100g

Plus salt and pepper. About £3.90 for the amounts used.

Method

   Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan, gas 6).

   Cook 400g pasta for 2 minutes less than the pack says, then drain.

   Make the cheese sauce: melt 40g butter, stir in 40g flour for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in 500ml milk until thick. Stir in half of 100g grated cheddar.

   Mix the pasta, sauce, 2 drained tins tuna and 200g frozen sweetcorn. Tip into a baking dish and top with the rest of the cheese.

   Bake for 20 minutes until golden.
