Sausages with bubble & squeak

• Pork sausages (8 pack)8
• White potatoes800g
• Savoy / white cabbage½
• Brown onions150g
• Gravy granules40g
• Butter20g

Plus salt and pepper. About £3.03 for the amounts used.

Method

   Cook 8 sausages under the grill or in the oven for 20-25 minutes, turning, until cooked through.

   Peel 800g potatoes, cut into chunks and boil for 15 minutes. Drain and roughly mash. Boil ½ cabbage, shredded, for 4 minutes, drain well and mix in.

   Melt 20g butter in a large frying pan, fry 1 chopped onion for 3 minutes, then press in the mash and fry for 10 minutes, turning once, until crusty.

   Make the gravy with 40g granules and 300ml boiling water and serve everything together.
